ABOUT US GPC

The Green Print Collective is a Melbourne based screen printing and creative studio founded by artist and printmaker Carla Risco.

What began as a small sustainable children’s label called Treekid has gradually evolved into a broader creative practice centred on colour, printmaking and joyful design. Today we create small-batch clothing, textiles, and printed pieces for EVERYONE, all designed to bring a little more creativity and individuality into YOUR life.

Our Journey, Treekid started with a simple question: How could fashion footprint be reduced and clothing be made creating a positive impact on people and the planet?

That question led us to no nasty chemicals, natural fibres, upcycling, small batch production, and the belief that everyone involved in the production should be respected, paid fair wages and have good working conditions.

Along the way, we discovered a deep passion for screen printing! What began as a way to print fabric became a creative practice in its own right, one that we continue to explore through textiles, paper prints, and collaborative projects.

Every print is designed and screen printed in our studio located in Coburg North, using water based inks. We work in small batches and choose materials with care, including natural, recycled, and responsibly sourced fibres whenever possible.

Keeping production local allows us to stay closely connected to the making process and to the creative community that surrounds us.

We believe creativity and sustainability can support one another. We believe local production matters, and that handmade objects carry the energy of the people who make them.

We are committed to thoughtful materials, responsible production, fair and respectful working relationships, and creating pieces that are playful, colourful, and made to be enjoyed for years to come.

The Green Print Collective is more than a clothing brand, it also aim to become a platform for artists who share our values of sustainability, ethical making, and contemporary print practice. Through collaborations, markets, workshops, and hopefully in a near future art exhibitions. We hope to build a supportive creative network where skills, ideas, and opportunities can be shared.

Whether you’ve followed us since the Treekid days or have only just discovered The Green Print Collective, thank you for being part of this journey. Every purchase, collaboration, message, and conversation helps this creative community continue to grow.

We’re so glad you’re here. Welcome to The Green Print Collective!!
